Britney Spears And Demi Lovato Dress To Impress At The X Factor USA Auditions

As we recently reported, here at Grazia HQ we were extremely excited by the news that Simon Cowell had signed pop legend Britney Spears to join the judging panel alongside Demi Lovato and LA Reid for the second season of The X Factor USA. So much so that we really do have to resist singing ‘It’s Britney b****’ and then going into a whole rendition of ‘Gimme More’ in the middle of the office…

The auditions kicked off in Austin, Texas yesterday and with the new line-up of leading ladies and we were keen to see how the former Disney starlets would fare in the fashion stakes.

Swapping brunettes for blonde bombshells, clearly both girls got the memo to wear towering black heels for their debut appearance on the show.

A slightly startled looking Britney wore a figure hugging Brian Lichtenberg dress highlighting her, erm, assets (!) with a sheer front panel. The dress was cut well above the knee perfectly displaying her toned, bronzed pins. Hawt!

Fresh faced 19 year old Demi Lovato opted for a neon Topshop print dress with a black biker jacket and her blonde tresses pulled back into a sleek top knot.

Britney is clearly excited about her new role, telling Simon and LA to ‘watch out’ and admitting that she is a ‘huge fan of the show and now I get to be a part of the action.’ Simon Cowell seems to be fairly chuffed with his choices too, saying that Demi Lovato was so important to get on board because she speaks to younger audiences. According to sources, Demi took no time at all to poke fun at her Brit boss calling him ‘Grandpa’ and telling the audience that he was ‘old and impatient’. Cheeky. We love it.

Both the British and American series’ are due to hit our screens later this year so it’s not just the Olympics in which we’ll be competing this summer. With several sartorial choices to make, we’re wondering who’ll wear it best? Britney and Demi vs Tulisa and Geri – you decide!
