Hands up who’s watching Revenge on Channel Four? Good, innit? Grazia Daily is mildly (okay, majorly) obsessed with the show. Cast bonus: Nineties supermodel Amber Valletta, who we first spotted on screen in 2000 thriller What Lies Beneath playing a corpse (gotta start somewhere). Since then, she’s had roles in Hitch and erm, Transporter 2. But joyously, she’s actually pretty good in Revenge (seriously; you need to catch up on 4od if you’ve missed the show so far).
Anyhoo, as if appearing in our new-favourite-TV-show wasn’t enough, Valletta has also been chosen as the ‘face’ of Emilio Pucci’s first ever (no, really) advertising campaign for Autumn/Winter 2012.
Now 38, Valletta has never really stopped modeling since her debut as the face of Calvin Klein’s Eternity fragrance in 1991. In the past decade she has appeared regularly in the industry’s top fashion glossies from Vogue, and W, to i-D and Love. And in the past five years she has also fronted ad campaigns for Jimmy Choo and Stella McCartney.
The Emilio Pucci campaign is photographed by Mert Atlas and Marcus Piggott, Valletta’s longtime collaborators. The Florence-based luxury label, now designed by Creative Director Peter Dundas, is still known for its high-end psychedelic prints. This year Pucci celebrates its 60th birthday, and we think this ad campaign makes the house’s perfect birthday present to itself…
